Running out of steam a bit this time around. Some of the late prompts have been uninspiring for me; also, some of my ideas I didn’t manage to get done in time but will complete and post later.
For Rip I did Rip Van Winkle waking up from his long slumber:
For the upper body I used pose reference from shensistock; the legs are partly stolen from the classic illustration by John Parker.
This is kind of an obscure reference. I’ve been re-reading Interview with the Vampire—still my all-time favorite vampire story. When I was trying to figure out what I wanted to do for Sleep, I’d just finished reading that great line of Claudia, scrawled at the bottom of the picture. So I did a little sketch of her and Louis as I imagine them in 19th-century New Orleans. An 01 Micron.
So, I struggled with Trap (day 18). I think I’ve got the direction I want now, but it’ll be posted probably after the end of the month. I also didn’t do Dizzy (day 19), since that was a duplicate prompt from 2019. As a tongue-in-cheek protest, I posted my last year’s Dizzy drawing. Here’s what it looked like:

I don’t care as much for the prompts that suggest literal interpretation. But since I’d like to do some sci-fi illustrations at some point, I figured I’d just go ahead with the straight swing on this one. The rocket was designed in blender before drawing.
I used six different drawing tools: Microns, warm gray Copics, Sharpie, brush and India ink, brush and turquoise ink, white Uni-Ball Signo.
